Cocoson is a small band that sounds like a big salsa orchestra. With the incomparable voice of Eleazar Ocaña. Salsa is the product of several musical genres, including Cuban son montuno, guaracha, cha cha, mambo, and to some extent bolero, and Puerto Rican bomba and plena. Salsa also occasionally incorporates elements of rock, R&B, and funk. All of these non-Cuban elements merge into the basic Cuban template of sound when performed within the context of salsa.
